Wednesday March 20th is officially the first day of spring, in the northern hemisphere, but it's definitely in the air; helped along by the recent warm weather during the last two weeks of February.
Our newly appointed membership secretary has been taking advantage and earlier this week was out and about on his GS150 VS4 in the lanes of the Kent countryside - careful with my wording there; not wanting to repeat Trevor McDonald's infamous mistake while reading the News at Ten!
With the birds more vocal and the blossom and daffodils out, thoughts are definitely turning to getting back on the scooter and hopefully a season full of riding opportunities. Don't forget to give your scooters a thorough check-up/service if they've been over-wintering in sheds and garages, to ensure they are safe and fit to ride again. If you require any parts to get you going again, remember Wessex Scooters are currently giving VVC members 5% off online orders valid until May 1st - you will need the discount code shown on their advert on page 13 of the latest VVC JOURNAL (No.78).
Head over to our events page to see what's coming up in 2019, so far three VVC events and a few one-day events too. Please do get in touch and let us know of any other rallies and events you think may appeal and are of interest to everyone, I can be contacted via email at vvceditor@veteranvespaclub.com Not forgetting if you have anything you'd like me to add to the News page of the new website, please email me at the same address.
