Luglio 14 - Buon Compleanno Fede..!!
Good friend, VVC member and regular contributor to our News Page, Federico Savogin, celebrated his 38th birthday in style last Sunday with a giro/ride that circled Mount Vesuvius, as well as taking in the Bay of Naples and stretches of the Amalfi coastline - what a way to celebrate!!
The observant will remember that Federico lives in Busto Arsizio, just north of Milan. However, his lovely wife Luisa Guida hails from Napoli, meaning Fede, Luisa and their children, Carla and Vittorio, are frequent visitors to Italy’s Campania region and Luisa’s family, located near to Naples.

Not that different to what many VVC members enjoy; Fede and friends take enjoyment from riding their Vespas through lovely scenery, interspersed with food and drink stops. On the occasion of his birthday Fede, accompanied by Luisa’s brother, Vincenzo Guida, rode their Vespas through some stunning Neopolitan vistas. Now while I often think the UK on a warm summer’s day is very hard to beat, what I wouldn’t give to ride along the Amalfi coast and check out Italy’s craziest city on a classic Vespa…!

… and tea and cake for these delightful pasticcerie - Italian sweet delicacies and pastries that are exceptionally good in the south of Italy.
