In these strange times, many of us suddenly find ourselves with a lot more time on our hands than we are used to! I'm no different and may well have even more from this week if I end up being 'furloghed' by my workplace.
Usually, my reading tends to be snatched moments grabbed here and there, and very infrequently is it a relaxed satisfying read as everyday life often just doesn't allow. In the present circumstances I've managed to get a little more time for reading and by reading, I mean a magazine or book, rather than a screen! I'm currently working my way through the excellent Rice & Dirt (Across Africa on a Vespa) and also the latest issue (No.18) of ScooterNova magazine. I'm very fortunate in that I get to contribute to ScooterNova on occasion. Nice as that is for me, they also publish excellent scooter travel stories which I really enjoy, as well as a plethora of feature scooters (original paint, restos, customs), reviews of new kit and parts to buy, historical articles - something for everyone with an inclination towards geared classic scooters. I'm still 'working from home' at the moment and the recent sunny weather has allowed for lunch hours in our garden! After lunching, I've been reading in the latest ScooterNova about four guys touring Norway on their Lambrettas - a lengthy but very enjoyable account of their trip; I can highly recommend it to VVC members!
