50 Special spotted in Sicily

Regular VVC contributor Rod Gillan, has not that long ago returned from holiday and cruising around the Mediterranean with his wife. A keen Vespa spotter while on his travels; Rod packed his camera as well as his bermuda shorts, and shares with us a few of his sightings…

“My wife and I spent our holidays this May on a second cruise of the Mediterranean - this time we visited the destinations of Monaco, Villes de France, Rome, Sicily, Corfu, Montenegro and Croatia. We both enjoy going onshore and experiencing the sights and cultures of each place and of course I carry my camera with me, should I happen to come across any scooters on my travels! I’m always amazed at the sheer numbers of scooters that are used for daily transport in Europe and in some towns and cities it would appear that they almost outnumber four wheel vehicles. I suppose the sunny climate has a lot to do with it too. Hope you enjoy the pics.” - Rod Gillan.

Rod opened up his holiday photo album to us from last year, when he and his wife undertook a similar cruise of the Med, see here.

Rod has been very generous in providing us all with some interesting words and pictures; chipping in again recently with an interesting piece from home in Northern Ireland - to be aired in a forthcoming Journal issue.
