Coffee, Kites and Classics

IMG_0466.JPG

The weekend was spent with relatives in North Norfolk and a visit to a kite festival held in Hunstanton. Also present was an impressive gathering of classic cars, a falconry display and even a flyby of the Spitfire from the Battle of Britain memorial flight, which had flown over from RAF Conningsby.

I did see a series 3 Lambretta Li150 that had been beefed up to 185cc but no Vespas. However there was a coffee Ape and I had a quick chat with the couple behind Cuppa Jo Jo. They had travelled to Italy to buy the Ape before taking it to a fabricator in Hull, who made the box on the back to house the coffee machine and electrics etc. The idea has often appealed to me but a coffee Ape is hard work - catering to the caffeine recreation of others; working weekends, early mornings etc. At least there is a lot of coffee at hand to keep them going..!

Cuppa Jo Jo have a regular pitch at Holkham Hall and will be there up until the end of October, so if you find yourself up that way, call in for a cup of Joe!
