Dropped my scooter in this week for a service at Retrospective Scootersprior to commuting to work by Vespa from April; a good idea to get it given a good once over before getting back in the saddle.
We’ve just finished my daughter’s 1000 piece jigsaw which kept us busy over the holidays; looks like Bernd Kirschner of Hola Vespa, has been busy with a jigsaw of his own.
ScooterNova magazine’s creator and editor is a VVC member and asked if he could share the Ape feature in his publication. What with ScooterNova’s larger A4 scale and additional space, the answer was always going to be a “yes”!
Martin Sambrook sent me these photos of this sculpture by artists Gillie and Marc. Having met while travelling, one of their main inspirations and present in many of their works, is Vespa.

Sicilians seem to have a stock in trade in ornate decoration - you can see plenty of images of highly adorned Vespas and Apes, like this one sent in by Dario Cerana.
On a recent visit to VVC member, Darren Bradbury in East London, I got a good look at the latest additions to his impressive collection of classic, vintage scooters.
