Dropped my scooter in this week for a service at Retrospective Scootersprior to commuting to work by Vespa from April; a good idea to get it given a good once over before getting back in the saddle.
Bold were the colours, beautiful were the scooters and anyone there, was there to be seen. Fast becoming the UK's catwalk for scootering, Brighton Bank Holiday delivered.
On what must have been the hottest, or one of the hottest, August Bank Holiday weekend’s on record, C.Spavento was paying a visit to Brighton’s Mod Weekender.

After reading the Autumn issue (JOURNAL No.80) it made VVC member, Nigel Buxton nostalgic and brought back memories of his days on Vespas both in the UK & riding solo across Europe.

Italian VVC member, Federico Savogin, has been putting his feet up on his vacanze/holidays in Termoli. Termoli is on Italy’s eastern side on the Adriatic coast in the lesser known region of Molise.
Club members, Roger Smith and Warren Jopson travelled up from the south coast and Essex respectively, to represent the VVC at the inaugural ScooterExpo event in Alfreton, Derbyshire.
The scooter scene accommodates a wide variety of tastes - if Mod, restos or customs aren’t your thing, then maybe ‘Mad Max’ style street racers with monster engines hanging out of them is..!
I returned to work yesterday after two weeks off; hence the News Page for August looking a little bare. A week was spent camping in Moreton, Dorset and the rest was spent at home in West Herts.
